Nancy A. Shapiro, C.N.
Owner & Co-Developer

As a long-time senior housing developer with her husband Phil, Nancy is the conceptual designer of the culture at Promenade on the River, using arts, culture, fitness and education as a wellness and longevity model. Nancy is also an artist who teaches pottery, quilting, glass painting and much more.  She brings her love of arts and crafts into the community to enhance Promenade's rich arts environment.

Through self-exploration, Nancy has developed a wide variety of interests and expertise.  She has a degree in Clinical Nutrition, which she used for many years in her wellness counseling practice called the Wellness Workshop.  Additional “tools” that she has collected over the years are certifications in hypnotherapy, Guided Imagery and Thought Field Therapy.  Nancy also dabbles in Engineering and Architecture and maintains the company computers.

Nancy and Phil have two lovely children, a son, Josh, and daughter, Arielle, who both attend Reno High School.
