One of Promenade's lifestyle cornerstones is its commitment to LIFE-LONG LEARNING.  We may retire one day from professional careers or raising a family, but we should never stop the zest for learning!  To this end, we have formed a unique relationship and bond with Reno's local and notable University of Nevada, Reno (or fondly known as UNR).  UNR is the State of Nevada's historic flagship institution of higher educations.  Campus on the Hill: A walking tour of the University of Nevada.  Promenade on the River is the only Independent Senior Living Community in all of Nevada to have such an extensive selection of educational opportunities.

Promenade member-residents can participate in UNR continuing education initiatives in several ways:

1. Join the UNR /Elder College ElderCollege: learning in retirement.  Promenade pays the annual tuition for each resident.

2.  Lectures that are either on the UNR campus or conducted on-site at Promenade's Multi-Purpose Center that are coordinated by our Lifestyles Department.

3.  UNR Medical Resident Immersion Program. Sanford Center for Aging

4.  Join the "Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) score-reno.org WELCOME. 

5.  Join the R.S.V.P. (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) Sanford Center for Aging
